For years, the pleasure of spending hours with a sampler remains one of the strongest emotions I have ever experienced. Most of the time, I made a lot of music without thinking about publishing it, using the internet to release a few tracks from time to time. However, meeting Bakou and the Technommunism team changed my practice of music, and encouraged me to release my own EPs and LP.

“Desastrification,” “disaster as a process,” is a pun coming from the clever mind of writer Michèle Causse, an activist promoting a language using ethical and enjoyable concepts. “Desastrification” is one of those word concepts that give the powerful a run for their money.

A sharp and skillful blade, a vibrant image of the world we live in today: this album is a picture of just another day in the Desastrification era. It’s a short and efficient album and you won’t skip any track. You listen to the album in one go without realizing it. Hotter tracks like “Route du Vent Solaire” or “HK TCM” stand out so the others can shine. Many influences are melted, from the beginning of musical styles such as hip-hop, breakbeat, jungle or acid house, to more recent trends like footwork and ghettotek. The constant of these styles is the energy that connects me to dance and the community feeling it produces.

We wish you to find all the comfortable spaces where you can take shelter, filled with smiles and good music, where you can make solid and sincere relationships with other dancers.
